Darlene got me Rage for Christmas. I really like it. While not quite as visually stunning as Gears 3 or Final Fantasy XIII, it’s “gorgeous” and I’m really enjoying it. There is a two-player co-op mode which, if I remember correctly, includes the very cool “dune buggies with guns” racing. Does anyone else have this?

Tucker got Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, HALO: Combat Evolved, and Bayonetta. He’s also been playing a lot of Dark Souls.

Anyone else get/playing anything interesting?

As has been mentioned, Tucker has all three Gears titles and is probably available for multi-player on those, if anyone is interested.

Console Version of Diablo 3

It looks like Diablo 3 will be making it’s way to the console after all. That’s big news for those that are interested in D3, but don’t have the PC to play it. I assume that this will be a PS3/360 type situation, but those details weren’t available. It is in the works though. From what I’ve seen of the game play, it should work rather well and also look smashing.

Clarification: This means that they are planning to bring it to the consoles, but it will not be released at the same time as the PC/Mac version. The question is how long it will take to port it down to the console.

Gaming Night

I know James has been asking around for a night we can all get together and play bf3. Lets get a schedule down. Tell me what days everyone would be willing to play for an hour or two or more if you guys want. I’m working on convincing the wife to letting me have a night to play with you guys. she has a fwe tv shows that I know she likes to watch, so I would probably schedule my time around those shows. Give me some feed back and let me know if when you guys are available.

I stopped by the Blockbuster where I have my instore game/movie rental membership, and it sounds like Blockbuster is about to completely fold. In mid-December, the store on Siegen Lane closed (that must have been very shortly after I got that 5 game deal there). From talking with the employees at the store I go to, they mentioned the Millerville and one other location, that I forgot, will be closing by the end of February. The store I go to will be closing at the end of March, and the Jones Creek store will close, once again, before summer. So I’m sure there will be lots of liquidation sales going on where you may be able to strike up some good deals on the games they rent out or any of their movies.

I guess in the end, Blockbuster just can’t hang on. When I asked about my membership, they said I could pick up a transfer slip from them to move my membership to the Gonzales store and receive a month free on my account, or I can get transferred to their online membership and receive two months free on my account. So either way, it looks like I will have some additional savings coming my way.

So sad, I was actually liking the ability to make game rental decisions at the time I’m at the store as opposed to Gamefly just sending me whatever they felt like sending me off of my queue.

Standard Time for BF3 Squad Play

I know that not very many people have BF3 (or have HD textures installed), but I would like to see if there are some people interested in a standard gaming time (similar to what we have with Borderlands). I enjoy the game when playing solo, but I enjoy it much more when I’m playing with a squad that is communicating. Not only is it more fun, but you get a lot more points since you are supplying ammo, med packs, etc.

If we have enough people to form a squad (max 4 per squad), then I’d like us to try to organize. Not only would this work well for all game types, we could also try some squad deathmatch. This doesn’t need to be limited to people here in BR, so if we can fill out a squad among those here in BR, we can finish it out with people from our friends list.

BF3 Aggravation

So I picked up a copy from a buddy of mine that never played online, so the code was still good. Come to find out my xbox doesn’t have a hard drive. So i can’t play the game in full hd until then. Guess bf3 will just have to be pushed back a little longer…the game looks awful without the hd feature.

Sorry that it has been so long since I posted on the forum. I’ve been watching silently. it is a bit difficult to comment from only my phone. i started a new job and just got access to the internet, so i should be able to post more often. Everyone will be happy to know that I got a headset for Christmas (not just a headset, but a pair of Tritton headphones. Don’t know what I did before these. I’m tempted to pick up battlefield 3 so i can play with you guys! i hope you all had a merry christmas!

Borderlands Tonight?

I know that we are coming to a close on Borderlands, but I plan to be on tonight as I’m still plowing forward to level 61. So if any of you still want to play some Borderlands, look for me tonight. Also, if Kevin needs help doing the Crawmerax when he gets to level 61, I’ll be available to help with that as well.
